Conditional Directions

  1. If you like pizza, then say your name.
  2. If you have a nose, then put your thumbs up.
  3. If ice is hot, then spin around three times.
  4. If you are a human, then tell me your age.
  5. If you have purple hair, then stand up.
  6. If cats meow, then touch your nose.
  7. If snow is white, then bark like a dog.
  8. If dragons are real, then count to three.
  9. If cars have wheels, then stomp your feet.
  10. If a bike has 7 wheels, then say a fruit.

A common goal in speech therapy is for following directions.  This could mean one step, two step, three step, conditional, or first then directions.

Teaching following directions skills is so valuable because following direction skills are expected in schools, home life, and everyday life!
